I love this time of year when the weather is warm and the sun is shining! And of course, the warm weather makes me crave cold drinks. Every time I sit outside in the sun (for my dose of vitamin D), I need one in my hand!
A homemade electrolyte drink or a red raspberry leaf iced tea are two of my favourites, but a girl needs choices. And since I love the idea of the pink drink, I felt it needed a place in my drink category!
Now this is a healthy herbal version of the Starbucks pink drink. I wanted to make one at home and thought I’d experiment with some lemon balm tea I had. And I gotta say, I was impressed with the results!
What you need to make this Lemon Balm Pink Drink
Lemon balm tea bag
Lemon balm tea is an herbal tea with a very subtle lemon flavour with hints of mint! It’s a calming tea, helping to reduce anxiety and improve moods.
I often enjoy lemon balm tea on its own. It’s one of my afternoon and evening go-to teas. I use traditional medicinals lemon balm tea.
Hot water
To make the tea!
Strawberries
Some strawberries are blended into the drink and then some are added afterward for those little extra bites of fruit that the pink drink is famous for!
Coconut Milk
The coconut milk adds the dairy free creaminess and of course coconut flavour! I’ve been really enjoying Cha’s organic coconut milk lately.
Maple Syrup
You can also use honey!
